If your clients add you to their safe senders list or whitelist you, this will make sure that messages from a specific email address are always sent to your email inbox.

If your clients are having difficulty receiving emails from you, you want to ask them to add your email address and noreply@athletadesk.com to their white-list or safe senders list. Instructions will vary by email service. Take a look below for instructions you can provide to your clients.

Hotmail/Outlook.com | Yahoo! | AOL Gmail

Hotmail/Outlook.com

  1. Open your mailbox and click “Mail Settings” (the gear in the upper right-hand corner) and select "Options". 
  2. From the menu on the left, click the “Safe senders” option under the "Junk email" heading.
  3. Add the email address or domain into the dialog box titled “Enter a sender or domain here”. 
  4. Click the “Add” button next to the dialog box. 

Tip: If the parent or athlete ever finds one of your emails in their junk folder, open the email and click the "Not Junk" button. 

Note: Your clients should also check that your email address is not in their Blocked Senders list.  You can find your Blocked Senders list by following the directions above and going to "Blocked senders" instead of "Safe mailing list".  If they see your email address or noreply@athletadesk.com on this list, select it and click the Remove button.

Yahoo! Mail

  1. Click "Settings" on the right-hand side (the gear icon) and choose "More Settings". 
  2. Select "Filters" from the menu on the left 
  3. Click the "Add" button on the Filters page. 
  4. In the "From" section, select "contains" from the drop-down menu.
  5. Enter the business email address in the "Type a filter value" field.
  6. Click the "Choose Folder" drop-down menu and select "Inbox". 
  7. Click " Save".

Repeat steps 3 through 7 to create a filter for noreply@athletadesk.com as well. 

Tip: If the parent or athlete ever finds one of your emails in their Yahoo Bulk Folder, they should open the email and click the "Not Spam" button.

Note: Your clients should also check that your email address is not in their "Blocked addresses" list.  They can find the "Blocked addresses" list by visiting the "More Settings" menu and then clicking the "Security and privacy" option on the left-hand side.  If they see your email address or noreply@athletadesk.com listed under "Blocked addresses", select it and click the red trash icon to the right of it.

AOL Mail

  1. Click "Contacts" from the main menu on the left.
  2. Fill in all relevant details from the business.
  3. Click "Add Contact".

Repeat these steps to add noreply@athletadesk.com

Tip: If the parent or athlete ever finds one of your emails in their SPAM Folder, they should open the email and click the "This Is Not Spam" button.

Note: Your clients should also check that your email address or noreply@athletadesk.com is not included in their spam filter.

  1. Click the "Options" in the top right-hand corner and select "Mail Settings" from the drop-down menu. 
  2. Click "Spam Settings" from the main menu on the left. 
  3. Highlight the email you wish to remove and click the "X" to right.
  4. Repeat as necessary.

Gmail

To make sure Gmail never filters as spam mail from a certain contact or domain:

  1. Open the settings icon at the upper right-hand side of Gmail (the gear icon), and choose Settings from the list.
  2. Open the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
  3. Click the link called Create a new filter. If you already have lots of filters, you won't see this link until you scroll to the very bottom of the page.
  4. In the From field, type the email address to whitelist. Be sure to type the full email address of the business.
  5. Click Create filter at the bottom of that pop-up window to make the whitelist filter.
Repeat these steps to add noreply@athletadesk.com.
